Who we are

A Thousand Ladders is providing jobs and services for those experiencing homelessness - at the same time. As a decentralized employment program that combines service delivery with work experience, A Thousand Ladders partners with existing nonprofits to reinforce services, acting as a capacity booster. We bring the employment opportunities to where people are actively experiencing homelessness, combining them with community engagement to highlight how helping others can be a meaningful path toward self-improvement.

Employment as a Service

Our unique employment as a service model focuses on technical training, soft skill building and community engagement. More than just a job, A Thousand Ladders creates a space for participants to learn and apply lessons for the benefit of themselves and the community.

Peer Support

In addition to creating jobs, A Thousand Ladders is providing homeless services in the form of workshops, support groups and volunteer opportunities. Our participants help facilitate these opportunities as a way of giving back, building on their communication skills and creating a sense of community.
